QSL Cards
Albuquerque is a vital part of the Route 66 story. The lights of Albuquerque have been written and sung about for generations. This year’s card traces Route 66 through New Mexico, noting both the current and the alternate routings which include stops in Los Lunas, Santa Fe, Pecos and other towns well off of the modern “beaten path”. The QSL card shows New Mexico’s famed Zia symbol, as well as some of Albuquerque’s famed neon lights along Central Avenue, also known as Route 66. The city lights of Albuquerque are well known to twinkle when viewed from Sandia Peak (shown in this year’s photo, or looking to the East from “Nine Mile Hill”.
